If you’re a puke-play enthusiast/fetishist, you've probably already started panhandling for the $80 necessary to purchase this gem out of West Oakland.
Reads the Craigslist ad, “Original oil painting of Tiger Woods bent out of shape at the bar. Wearing a nike golf shirt of course! ... Done by artist Andrew E. Barnes.” Wanting - nay, needing - to know more about Barnes’ inspiration, I called.
Barnes, 24, just finished a “weird side job” cleaning a printing shop. “I don’t make very much money painting,” he said, noting that he'd like that to change.
“I just wanted to paint him because he seemed stressed out, you know?” explained Barnes. He finished the oil painting about four months ago. Asked whether the current British Open drove him to post it online the other day, he said, “I don’t even know what's going on with him this weekend.”
Alas, he knows he’s yet to receive a call from an arts patron with a fine eye for the human condition.
